Hi, Let me introduce myself. I’m Mike Knutson.
I’ve had a life long affair with photography starting in the days when
the press camera was the norm to today’s digital age.
No matter the camera, cameras exist to express an idea or attitude, to
record rites of passage, to record
and express the joy
and beauty of a loving
relationship and the beauty that can be found
in the every-day world
around us.
I have a B.A. from St Olaf College, a M.S. from Oregon
State and a academic year of photography classes from Montana State University.
Although I was a High School teacher of Science and Photography for
twenty-eight years, my creative energies have always been given over to
photography. I feel blessed to have
been entrusted with the photography of over eight hundred weddings and
two-thousand seniors and families.
In the year Two-Thousand, my wife and I moved from
Montana back to Minnesota {I grew up in Faribault} and settled near Utica.
I have chosen not to have a studio, rather, all of my work is done at a
location of your choice. When desired, I can move all of my studio equipment to your
location. All of the indoor Senior
images on this site were created with my “location studio”.
If you desire to see some of my wedding wall portraits and albums, we
have a display at Master Jewelers in Rochester.
If after viewing this web site, or our display at Master Jewelers, you
would like to visit with me or perhaps see some more of my work,
give me a call. 507-932-0340.
